I have always had a love for photography. When I was 19 I asked my parents for a "nice camera" and that year for Christmas I got my Cannon Rebel XT. I immediately started snapping away! Taking pictures of anything and everything. I began to take pictures of landscapes, flowers, animals and such. I never thought I would actually be good at taking pictures, it was just a passion of mine. As the years passed I began exploring with my photography and photo-shop. Then my niece was born, and I found that I had a love of taking pictures of kids. They are so expressive and not afraid of what they'll look like on film. I then began wonder about maternity photography. Many women don't think to have pictures done during their pregnancy-but I feel it is definitely something that is worth commemorating. One reason most women don't want to have pictures done at this time is because they don't feel comfortable with someone coming in and taking pictures of themselves, let alone a tummy that has grown 10 times its original size! I am thankful to my cousin Courtney for letting me experiement on her. The pictures turned out beautiful! After that I was hooked. The love between a mother and child is evident in the photos I took of her. Now, thanks to all of my friends who are getting pregnant ;), I have more opportunity to grow in this niche.
So, my photography focuses on families, children, and tummy's :)...aka maternity!
